Mongolian Buddhist monks living in the Chicago area held special prayer services on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse year in the 17th cycle. The Bituun (Lunar New Year’s Eve) prayer service took place on February 17, and the New Year blessing prayer service was held on February 28.
