Regulations of the Advisors' Council of the "Mongolian Heritage Center"
Approved at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the ‘Mongolian Heritage Center’ on November 21, 2023.
One. General Provisions
The ‘Mongolian Heritage Center,’ is a not-for-profit corporation that conducts regular activities aimed at serving the cultural needs of the people of Mongolian origin residing in the Midwest region of the United States, transmitting and teaching younger generations Mongolian language, heritage, culture, history, and customs while fostering and strengthening their Mongolian identity.
Two. Structure, Membership, and Organization of the Advisors’ Council
2.1 The Advisors’ Council is permitted to have up to 11 members.
2.2 Members of the Advisors’ Council are appointed for three-year terms following a resolution by the Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
2.3 An incumbent member of the Advisors’ Council may be reappointed for an additional three-year term upon their request.
2.4 The Advisors’ Council is required to convene at least once annually.
2.5 A joint session with the Center’s Board of Directors and the Advisors’ Council must be held at least once every year.
Three. Rights and Responsibilities of the Advisors’ Council Members
3.1 A member of the Advisors’ Council is required to act in accordance with the Center’s bylaws, as well as any other related policies and procedures.
3.2 Members are expected to provide strategic advice and support to further the Center’s goals and initiatives, conduct evaluations of the operations, and make recommendations for improvements.
3.3 Members are entitled to directly submit proposals, advice, and reports concerning any mistakes or shortcomings observed in the Center’s operations to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
3.4 The Advisors’ Council is not involved in the day-to-day management of the Center and does not serve as its representative.
Four. Authority and Responsibilities of the Center
4.1 The Center is committed to actively considering and implementing the proposals and recommendations made by the Advisors’ Council and its members within its operations.
4.2 The Center’s manager has the authority to directly engage with members of the Advisors’ Council for guidance, support, and assistance concerning daily managerial tasks and the organization of special events and ceremonies.
Five. Other Provisions
Members of the Advisors’ Council and the Center are not liable for fulfilling the responsibilities and exercising the rights outlined in this regulation.
