A CHARITY CHESS TOURNAMENT TO SUPPORT THE “MONGOLIAN HERITAGE CENTER” PROJECT WAS ORGANIZED

 In alignment with the ongoing donation campaign aimed at acquiring real estate for the “Mongolian Heritage Center,” the Consulate of Mongolia in Chicago, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Representative Office in the United States, along with the “Chicago Mongols Chess Club” and “Tugs Gens” Chess Clubs, collaborated to host chess games and rapid chess competitions.

At the tournament’s outset, Consul, WIM T. Battsetseg, played simultaneous exhibition with 17 players. A total of 19 chess enthusiasts showcased their skills in the rapid chess competition. Notable winners included D. Danzan, securing the first place in the under-12 age group, with D. Batmend taking the second spot. In the same category, R. Enguun (female) claimed victory, while P. Zolboo and O. Amartuvshin secured the first and second places, respectively, in the adult category. I. Yadamsuren also earned a place and all winners received cash prizes.

Throughout the chess tournament, a total of 6,400 USD was collectively donated by the families of chess players, individuals, and chess clubs who ardently support the sport to facilitate the acquisition of real estate for the “Mongolian Heritage Center”.
